Nationwide Recovery, Inc. v. City of Detroit, Case No. 24-1401 (6th Cir. 2026).

A city's immediate termination of a towing permit without a hearing violated procedural due process, but the plaintiff recovered only nominal damages because after-acquired evidence of the permit holder's collusion with car thieves and systematic overcharging of fees established that termination would have been justified had a post-deprivation hearing occurred.

Athos Overseas Limited Corp. v. YouTube, Inc., Case No. 23-13156 (11th Cir. 2026).

YouTube qualifies for safe harbor protection under Section 512(c) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act against copyright infringement claims arising from user-uploaded content.
